Guildite is a digital commerce platform owned and operated by GuildIte Ltd, a subsidiary of Gildaig Ltd. Guildite provides independent sellers with tools to create digital shops, manage inventory, process orders, access market analytics, connect with buyers and participate in a seller community.
Guildite is a marketplace operator that connects buyers and sellers and sets and enforces rules for use of the platform. Guildite is not a government regulator, seller, retailer, auctioneer or agent for any product listed on the platform. Guildite does not own, inspect, verify or guarantee any product, service or listing unless explicitly stated.
To use Guildite you must:
You must register for an account to access Guildite’s seller features. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated.
When Guildite asks you to accept these Terms in the app, selecting the acceptance checkbox and continuing creates an electronic record of the Terms version and time accepted. If you do not accept the current Terms, you may sign out and continue to read Guildite’s public legal and help pages.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify Guildite immediately at legal@guildite.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
You may only hold one active seller account on Guildite. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent suspensions, bans or platform fees is a serious violation of these Terms and will result in permanent removal from the platform.
Guildite may require identity verification for certain features including high-value transactions above specified thresholds. You agree to provide requested verification documents promptly. Failure to verify may result in transaction limits or account suspension.
Sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings, the quality of their products, compliance with applicable laws, and payment of all applicable taxes on their sales.
Guildite does not provide an escrow, wallet, deposit-taking or custodial payment service and does not hold purchase funds pending delivery.
Payments on Guildite are processed through Paystack. Each seller has a dedicated Paystack Subaccount, and Guildite uses Paystack’s Split Payments functionality so that when a buyer pays, the funds are settled directly to the seller’s Paystack Subaccount, with Guildite’s platform fee deducted and routed separately as part of the same transaction. At no point do buyer funds pass through, or come under the control of, Gildaig Ltd or GuildIte Ltd. Use of Paystack is subject to Paystack’s own terms and privacy notice, which are available at paystack.com. The checkout page will identify Paystack as the payment processor and disclose material charges before payment.
The seller remains responsible for the sale, fulfilment, customer service, returns and legally required refunds. A payment provider, card issuer, bank or mobile money provider may independently reverse or dispute a payment under applicable law and its own rules.
Any Guildite platform or service fee will be displayed before it is charged. A fee is not voluntarily refundable after the associated Guildite service has been supplied, except for a duplicate, unauthorised or incorrectly processed charge or where applicable law requires otherwise.
Guildite does not promise or issue discretionary refunds for goods or services sold by users. Buyers must direct product return, exchange, cancellation and refund requests to the seller and, where relevant, the payment provider. Sellers must comply with their published policy and all mandatory legal obligations.
Nothing in these Terms removes a non-excludable consumer right. Under Ghana’s Electronic Transactions Act, covered electronic transactions may carry cancellation rights, and a supplier that cannot perform because goods or services are unavailable must notify the consumer and refund payment within the period required by law. Statutory exceptions may apply to categories such as certain perishable or personalised goods, opened software or recordings, auctions, and specified services.
Guildite offers both free and paid subscription tiers for sellers. Pro and Enterprise subscription tiers provide access to advanced features including market analytics, priority support and enhanced shop customisation.
Guildite’s platform, software, brand, logos, product names, design elements and all underlying technology are owned by GuildIte Ltd and Gildaig Ltd. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use Guildite’s intellectual property without express written permission.
Guildite retains rights in platform-generated analytics and may use aggregated or anonymised transaction data to improve the platform and develop analytics products. Guildite does not claim ownership of a user’s personal information, and this clause does not limit rights provided by data-protection law.
You retain ownership of content you create and upload to Guildite, including product images, descriptions and shop branding. By uploading content you grant Guildite a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, reproduce and distribute that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the platform.
You may close your Guildite account at any time through your account settings. Upon closure, your public shop and listings will be removed, subject to records Guildite must retain for security, complaints, legal claims or compliance.
A report is an allegation and does not automatically prove misconduct. Guildite may review account records, listings, messages, transaction and delivery records, prior reports, submitted evidence and relevant security signals. Guildite may request information from the reporting and reported users. Reports concerning buyers and sellers are assessed under the same process.
Depending on the evidence, severity, urgency and history of violations, Guildite may take no action, issue guidance or a warning, remove content or listings, restrict features, temporarily suspend an account, or permanently ban a user. Credible fraud, safety, unlawful-content or account-security concerns may result in an immediate temporary restriction while review continues. Repeated or serious violations may result in a permanent ban.
Where reasonably possible and lawful, Guildite will notify the affected user of the action and a meaningful reason. Guildite may limit details where disclosure would expose another person’s private information, enable fraud, threaten safety or interfere with a legal investigation. A reporter may be told that a report was reviewed or that action was taken, but will not receive confidential account or investigation details.
A suspended or banned user may appeal by contacting support@guildite.com and providing the account details, reason for appeal and relevant evidence. Appeals receive a fresh review where reasonably practicable. Filing an appeal does not automatically restore access. Guildite may decline repetitive or abusive appeals.
If a dispute arises between a buyer and seller, the parties should first communicate directly and preserve order, delivery and payment evidence. Guildite may review a complaint for possible violation of platform rules, but does not act as a court, arbitrator or escrow agent and does not control a seller’s funds. Either party may also use remedies available through the payment provider, a regulator or a court.
Complaints about Guildite’s service or moderation may be sent to support@guildite.com. Privacy complaints may be sent to privacy@guildite.com or lodged with Ghana’s Data Protection Commission. Payment-provider complaints may also be submitted through the provider’s published complaint procedure.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Subject to any mandatory consumer right or jurisdiction that cannot lawfully be excluded, legal proceedings concerning Guildite may be brought before a court of competent jurisdiction in Ghana.
Guildite may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When material changes are made, Guildite will notify users by email and through an in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Guildite after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of those Terms.
